SUMMARY

ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LIMA — CUSCO

Upon arrival in the city of Lima, our representative will assist you to board your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in the city of Cusco, our representative will wait for you and transfer you to your hotel.
You will have the afternoon free to rest and acclimatize.

DAY 2: VISIT TO THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK OF PISAC AND OLLANTAYTAMBO

Our tour begins with the trip to the town of Pisac. On the way, we will have a stop at the viewpoint of Taray, from where we will have an impressive view of the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas. The tour continues to the archaeological park of Pisac located at the top and then visit its traditional market town. Then we will start the trip towards Urubamba where we will have lunch.
In the afternoon, we will continue the journey to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. After the visit, we will take the train to the village d and Aguas Calientes.

DAY 3: VISIT TO THE INCA SANCTUARY OF MACHU PICCHU

This day very early in the morning, you will leave the hotel to take the bus to the lost citadel of the Incas: Machu Picchu, considered a jewel of Inca architecture with its neighborhoods, squares, temples, agricultural areas, roads, observatories, etc. Built on one of the flanks of the old mountain in the middle of the semitropical vegetation of the area. The American explorer Hiram Bingham rediscovered the citadel on July 24, 1911. After the guided tour, you will have time to continue exploring this magical place. As an optional activity, with additional cost, prior reservation subject to space availability, you can climb the Huayna Picchu Mountain that offers a panoramic view of the place or, if you wish, you can take a leisurely stroll through the citadel to take pictures. Later we will go back to the town to take the train from Aguas Calientes to Poroy station where our representative will receive you and drive you in a private car to Cusco.

DAY 4: CITY TOUR

You will have the morning free. In the afternoon, we will visit the ancient capital of the Inca Empire and the current archaeological capital of America: the city of Cusco, place that keeps between its walls and streets evidence of a glorious past; visiting its streets and squares will show us the captivating beauty of the city. Our tour begins in the Cathedral; its inside decorated with many altarpieces covered in gold leaf as well as pictures of the Cusco School that dates from the seventeenth century. Continuing the tour, we will visit the Temple of Santo Domingo of Guzmán, where we will witness the remains of what was the ancient Temple of the Sun, better known as Qoricancha. After visiting this site, we will go to the outskirts of the city to visit the Inca archaeological complexes of Q’enqo, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and Sacsayhuaman; the latter strategically built on a hill overlooking the city of Cusco.
At the end of the tour, we will return to the hotel.

DAY 5:CUSCO - PUERTO MALDONADO.

After breakfast, at the scheduled time, our representative will pick you up to transfer you to the airport to board the flight to the city of Puerto Maldonado. At your arrival, our representative will assist you and lead you the lodge by the Bajo Madre of Dios River to get to the hostel. You will have to time to accommodate and enjoy l lunch. In the afternoon, you will take a hike to Cocha Cayman; its name is due to the existence of black and white alligators. In the afternoon, you will return to the lodge, where you will have dinner.

DAY 6: WALK TO APU VICTOR LAKE AND VISIT TO THE ISLAND OF MONOS

After breakfast at the lodge, we will begin our trek to Apu Victor Lake, a place surrounded by immense swamps and gigantic trees. There we will go up to the viewpoint from where we will have a panoramic view of the Lake and its surroundings and the fauna of the trees, such as parrots, macaws, toucans, herons, among others. Return to the lodge for our lunch.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Isla De Los Monos, place that houses different monkey species such as the Maquisapa, Capuchino, Leoncillo and Fraile. At the end of the tour, you will return to the lodge, where you will have dinner.

DAY 7: OBSERVATION OF RONSOCOS, CAIMANES, TORTUGAS, GARZAS, CORMORANES

After having breakfast in the morning, we will return to the city of Puerto Maldonado. Here you will find fascinating natural environment in which you may see capybara, caimans, turtles, herons, cormorants and other animal species.
Upon arrival in the city, you will have assistance and transfer to the airport to board the flight to the city of Lima.
Upon your arrival in Lima, our representative will assist you and transfer you to the hotel.

DAY 8: LIMA — INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT

This day you will have the morning free so you can learn more about this wonderful city. At the scheduled time, you will have the transfer to Lima airport to board the flight to your county.
